In Loving Memory of Robert: Carrying Forward His Passion for Aviation

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our founder, Robert Losurdo. For so many in the aviation community, Robert was more than just a leader—he was a mentor, a friend, and a true inspiration. His passion for flying and his commitment to safety set the standard for everything we do at In Flight Review. The loss is profound, and we know many of you feel it as deeply as we do.

Robert built In Flight Review from the ground up, always believing that training should be practical, personal, and rooted in real-world experience. He poured his energy into every lesson, every conversation, and every relationship with our clients. His vision was clear: to create a training organization where pilots could master their aircraft and fly with confidence, especially in the turboprops he loved most—King Airs and Cheyennes.

How Will We Honor Robert’s Legacy?

We miss Robert every day. His presence is felt everywhere. But his legacy is not just in the past—it’s in the future we’re building. Stephanie and I, along with our team of dedicated instructors, remain committed to carrying forward the values Robert instilled in all of us. We will continue to offer the same high-quality training, focusing on the aircraft that defined Robert’s career and our company’s reputation.

The King Airs and Cheyennes that Robert loved will remain at the heart of our curriculum. Our instructors, many of whom worked side by side with Robert, bring the same passion and expertise to every session. We are updating our programs to reflect the latest in safety and technology, but the foundation remains the same: practical, scenario-based training that prepares pilots for the real world.

What Does the Future Hold for In Flight Review?

We know that change can be difficult, especially after such a loss. But we want to reassure our clients, partners, and friends that In Flight Review is here to stay—and to grow. Stephanie and I are stepping into leadership roles, supported by a team that shares Robert’s vision and commitment. Together, we will continue to serve the aviation community with integrity, professionalism, and heart.

We are also making updates to our website, including the “Our Founder” page, to honor Robert’s memory and share his story. Our social media will shift focus to highlight the aircraft we specialize in and the instructors who are now guiding the next generation of pilots. We invite you to share your memories of Robert and your experiences with In Flight Review. Your stories remind us why this work matters.

Robert’s legacy lives on in every safe landing, every confident takeoff, and every pilot who trains with us. We are grateful for the trust you place in In Flight Review, and we promise to honor that trust every day.

Thank you for your support, your friendship, and your commitment to safe flying. If you have any questions or would like to reach out, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to continuing this journey with you—all in Robert’s memory.
